I like the ones we have now. (Not the beta one) I like the old ones. I don't like any of this new stuff.. So many people are gonna quit because of all this new crap... I'm tottally gonna quit if you take away the old channels.
Personally, the new design is terrible. The problem with it is you cannot comment someone's featured video, you cant click any link to jump directly to their video. You have to search their video in order to be able to comment it.
And it's very unfair how the rest of us who haven't switched to the new design have no chance but just accept it when the designs are changed to the new one.

Is there a way to not change over? Because the new format is simply hideous. The video screen takes up too much room, there is no reason why a persons videos should be to the side vertically of it. I tried the new format and you can't edit how it looks in any way. Why can't you move where your videos are to BELOW the giant video taking up all the room.

I just checked the vlog brothers channel to see if you could actually click a "Video" link to get a full screen listing all videos they have. WHY was that of all things removed? Now to find the videos I have to scroll down a small vertical plane of HUNDREDS of videos to find it? Plus it has to load every single time you scroll down! What was wrong with simplicity! That is the whole reason why google is so popular.

i was already technologicaly retarded befor hand and i only just got the hang of youtube after 2 years and now they are making this rough cut piece of shit "improvment" it should at least be optional instead of being forced apon people! youtube is embaresing itself.
You know how some videos have Adult Checks on them so that viewers have to click on a warning before watching so they can't cmplain if they're offended? That should be something the Channel Host can turn on-and-off at will. Or better yet, allow users to write their OWN warnings.
And to encourage users to do it, perhapse even disable the Flag buttons on videos that have custom warnings.

Can the new channels please continue to be optional, as opposed to enforced? I switched to the new channel temporarily and noticed my views decreased considerably (noted via the 'insight' function), and I personally find the formatting of the new channel to be (for want of a better word) really shit.
Well, I kinda like my background image and the new one doesn't show it...plus there are a few (lot) of other things I do NOT like about it. I like the old channels where I can change the way my channel can be. The old one is more organized too. If you force us to change it, Im out!
I like my channel the way it is. Make it optional, the new layout is too square, and inpersonal, also it is difficul to search the favourites and the uploaded videos. I don´t like it.
Kindest thing I could say would be ordinary. In fact, the "new" layout and design and the implementation reminds me distinctly of Windoze attitudes. As far as I can make out, there is less than 10% acceptance of this format, but I am willing to bet it gets imposed anyway.

I really cannot stand the new channels. I think they look ugly. But I love the classic version. I think they should keep the option of having the classic one, Im used to it and I like it, and I don't want to change my page. I think I will lose intrest in YouTube if they change the pages completely.
The way the channel's are at the moment are alot easier to locate & use. I dont see the point on trying to upgrade something when it doesn't need it. There Fine As Is!

that really looks aweful i didnt like trying out the new channel designs so i switched back, but now that its going to happen after july 15, im very dissapointed. I dont like the new design it looks ugly, hard to use etc. dissapointed youtube, your going to lose many people.

Please keep the old channels it's easier to find stuff and you can see the backgrounds .... just keep the option button if you want to use the new channel button

This is how you treat your community Youtube? Dictator, partner rubbish, kissing ass to sponsors, not giving two frogs about where your traffic comes from and who creates it. As soon as someone creates something better, your game is up and not soon enough!
ReplyDeleteHmm... I wonder what the real reason for the change is. Still if this fixes any of the slew of horrendeous bugs that plague the tube, it can't be all bad. My guess is it will create many, many more.
ReplyDeleteI really cannot stand the new channels. I think they look ugly. But I love the classic version. I think they should keep the option of having the classic one, Im used to it and I like it, and I don't want to change my page. I think I will lose intrest in YouTube if they change the pages completely.

Last night you suspended /earthlasthope and I am NOT the slightest bit impressed, because a whole heap of othert channels I watch have been suspended for no reason, recently -- and a whole heap of videos pulled. YouTube, I am getting REALLY pissed off!

ReplyDeletethat really looks aweful i didnt like trying out the new channel designs so i switched back, but now that its going to happen after july 15, im very dissapointed. I dont like the new design it looks ugly, hard to use etc. dissapointed youtube, your going to lose many people.
