Anyone get to Broome this summer? What about Thursday Island?

The Map My Summer Aussie map is filling out with your videos of this summer past. If you’ve still got summer footage on your phone or camera, good news - Screen Australia has extended the deadline of Map My Summer until April 8th and they’ve extended the time limit from three to five minutes. So there’s still time to get your video on the map and show the world what this summer looked like downunder.

What’s more, legend filmmaker Dr George Miller has selected award-winning film director Amy Gebhardt to make a short film in tribute to this summer using a selection of your videos entered onto Map My Summer. Here’s Amy talking about the project and what she’s looking for.

Five people, whose footage is included in the final cut, will be invited to attend the premiere of the film at the Sydney Film Festival in June, with flights and accommodation provided. Get your entries in - they don’t need to be fancy, just raw footage to share your story of this summer.
